Looking forward to December

Well this picture just about sums up my struggle to try to tell Katie to take it easy… Three days after a chemo injection, she decides to have a head stand contest with the kids.

This week we were able to fight off a lot of the unpleasantness of the previous infusion experiences. It seems the combination of medications that we have settled into have finally improved her ability to cope a little better with the symptoms. Don’t get me wrong, the symptoms are still there, and it’s still a not so nice experience for her, but this week was a far cry from the first two rounds.

This week there is not much to report. No news is good news. The kids are all knee deep in school, gymnastics, tennis and we just found out that Spencer fractured his arm in football. You know… typical stuff for a family of 8.

We are looking forward to fall break and hopefully Katie can remain rested and nourished throughout the remaining chemo treatments. We are excited for December to come soon, and move on to the next phase of treatment. Thank you everyone for the continued support.
