Cue Bon Jovi…
Well we made it in to the infusion center again today, and even though Katie’s numbers were not perfect on her blood work, they were close enough to allow her to go ahead with her 3rd chemo treatment. Which means only three more chemos to go!
This week started off rough when we heard we had to wait an extra week, but it was also nice to have Katie feeling a little better so we could enjoy some fun family time. We enjoyed having my parents come visit last week, went and watched some football and soccer games, went to a concert (just me and the boys) and had Katie’s parents come hang out with us. Her parents usually come when she is having a tough week, so it was nice to have some livelier moments with them.
We had more fun this week than we have lately been able to because of the break in treatment, so getting Katie out of the house was a good opportunity to fit in some good memories.

Since it is October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), we have been blessed with an awesome sports community that have reached out to support us.

Both Spencer’s football team and Sammy’s soccer team were sporting pink to show their support.

We have really enjoyed a little respite from the nasty chemo symptoms. Some still linger, but the kids have been amazing in all of it, trying to do the their part to help out where needed.

We also enjoyed conference weekend and an opportunity to slow down and rejuvenate both physically and spiritually. Jenna even made us a conference weekend cake all by herself.

Katie was even able to attend Mariah’s “moms and muffins” date with her kindergarten class,

I watched Jimmy win first place in a school olympics event.

This week we will be back at it, trying to keep Katie nourished and rested to fight through some more treatment. We continue to be grateful for everyone’s part in supporting our family.

I sure love you guys!

Love you Katie, stay strong I remember they would send me home Multiple time because my white blood cells where .035 and I would get so frustrated cause I didn’t want to make this longer then it had to be. So stay strong if you ever need anything let me know.
